The movie Whisky is shot, directed by filmmakers Uruguayan Pablo Stoll and Juan Pablo Rebella , co-produced by Uruguay, Germany, Spain and Argentina. Many of the scenes are shot in Piriapolis, as well as inside the Argentino Hotel.
